How to Fix Issues with Blank Copy and Paste?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been running into a frustrating problem where whenever I try to copy text from certain websites or documents, it ends up as a blank copy and paste. This happens across multiple programs and even when I switch browsers.

I’ve checked for keyboard issues and clipboard managers, but nothing seems to help. Has anyone else experienced the blank copy and paste issue? Are there reliable fixes or workarounds? Any insights into why this happens would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve run into this “blank copy-paste” issue a couple of times, and in my case it was usually related to either a browser extension or a corrupted clipboard process. A few things that actually helped were restarting Windows Explorer (or the clipboard service on Mac), disabling extensions one by one to find conflicts, and checking whether the site was using scripts that block copying. Sometimes even switching the text into Notepad first and then copying again fixes it.

 

Interestingly, I first noticed this problem while planning a Dubai trip and copying notes and booking details from different sites — including when I was using BurjTicket  to organize attractions. Cleaning up extensions and resetting the browser solved it for me. Hopefully one of these steps helps you too.
